post-break

just back from spring break. well, back yesterday and feeling sane again today. Puerto Rico was an absurdly good time. we stayed on a tiny island off Puerto Rico (Culebra) -- only one bar open past 10, and by the time we left I think I knew about 3/4 of the other tourists there. we were the only group of college girls on the island so monopolized the attention of our male counterparts, which was a lot of fun.

India (Hyderabad) was even better. I stayed with a family that's friends with the family of a friend of mine. they were soooooo good to me and I had no idea how to be a good enough guest to merit all the attention they paid me. I arrived around 2am on Wednesday morning and they met me at the airport with a garland of lilacs. we drove back to their apartment and sipped papaya juice on the balcony and listened to peacocks in the distance. ah! so amazing! definitely got me pumped for going back to India, which is silly because my idyllic 5 days there will bear zero resemblance to my life in Pune, plus I won't have this amazing family taking care of me. but still.

also I decided I want Indian babies. they're so cute!!

visits

steph- i will probably be visiting your school the last fri in march. maybe we could hang out? that would be cool :).

slim & darcy- i may or may not be visiting, depending on my willingness to forgo spring break plans in florida. i'm kind of thinking not, but we'll see...

(ender-no word from your school yet, so it's looking unlikely)

at any rate, i am planning on being home for a good chunk of the summer, so hopefully i will see you all then!

L, you're amazing! That's a very impressive line-up of admit letters. Does this mean you will be visiting me in the Have sometime this semester? I certainly hope so...
